• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Redirecting Mail Problems? - try this.

I recently needed to redirect mail from info @ example.com to xyz @ example.com. Both mailboxes are on my VPS.

I created a new mail name of 'info' without a password, or control panel access, or a mailbox. I then enabled 'redirect' for the name and entered 'xyz' for the address.

This works fine, however... when I tried the same procedure to redirect mail to an external mail account on another server, it didn't work at all.

To get the redirect function to function, I found I had to add a password and tick the CP access box for the mail name. I suspect you should do this anyway, but it is not a requirement and it caused problems for me.
