Safe to disable mod_jk?

EMerkel

New Pleskian
I am investigating a possible hack on one of my Plesk 11.0 servers and I believe it is related to mod_jk. I don't believe I have any customer sites needing this module so is it safe to just disable mod_jk in under Tools & Settings -> Apache Modules and just uncheck this module? I just wanted to make sure the Plesk control panel doesn't need it for any reason.

Thanks,
Eric

As long as you have not installed or are not using Tomcat, then it shouldn't have any problems disabling it ..

I do have Tomcat installed but I don't believe any customers are using it. Would it be better to uninstall Tomcat or just disable this module if I want to see if this helps the issue?

Eric

If you have Tomcat installed and you are not using it then it's highly recommended to get it UN-installed!

Code:
yum remove tomcat6

It's also harmless to disable
Code:
mod_jk
after the above ...
