• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Scared: wordpress instance updated

tkalfaoglu

Silver Pleskian
My kalfaoglu.net web site runs on whmcs.. An automation package that seems to make life easier.
After my upgrade to Onyx, plesk suggested that I update my wordpress instance on kalfaoglu.net.
I didn't remember installing wordpress, but I thought maybe I did, in some subfolder. So I accepted the suggestion.
It told me that "The installation of Wordpress Instance 3.0-5 for kalfaoglu.net was successfully updated.

Afterwards, the www.kalfaoglu.net would not open, I checked the httpdocs, and noticed lots of new files, wp-?????.php.. It had turned the site into a wordpress site!

So I deleted everything and restored from backups, with about an hour of downtime.

I thought I'd let plesk staff know of this issue, and warn everyone not to blindly accept suggestions..
