I have customers and such on my server and cannot afford more issues, please any help i can get would be very very very grateful! i have always used cpanel and have never had this much trouble :(

Hi

I had the same thing the update hung after

Stopping mail handlers tmpfs storage.....

then restart produces this

Starting SWsoft control panels server...Duplicate config variable in conditional 1 global/SERVERsocket==:8443: fastcgi.server
2011-04-07 07:34:45: (configfile.c.838) source: /usr/share/sw-cp-server/applications-conf.sh line: 103 pos: 14 parser failed somehow near here: (EOL)
2011-04-07 07:34:45: (configfile.c.838) source: /etc/sw-cp-server/config line: 13 pos: 1 parser failed somehow near here: (EOL)

There is no line 13 in /etc/sw-cp-server/config
and /usr/share/sw-cp-server/applications-conf.sh is dynamic but from what i can tell :

103 alias.url = (
104 "/sitebuilder/skins/branding" => "/usr/local/psa/var/branding/sb/skins",
105 "/sitebuilder" => "/usr/local/sb/htdocs",
106 )

which is under fastcgi.server = (

and help on this would be greatly appreciated

my next line of thought is along the duplicate config variable lines

Could you please post content of your file /etc/sw-cp-server/config here?
What is your pre-upgrade Plesk version and what is version of autoinstaller you use?

Also if it is possible, could you please grant me access to your server for performing investigation of this strange issue? You can send it to me in PM.

I've pm'd you thankyou

Thank you! I have forwarded it to Plesk developers. They will check issue directly on your server soon. I will update thread with results of investigation as soon as I receive it.

Do you perform upgrade via CLI autoinstaller utility or via Plesk interface?

through plesk interface to start then CLI trying to get it to fix it's self after plesk was unavailable. your help is appreciated.

I have received following developer's recommendation:

The customer run upgrade via /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --install-system-only --select-release-latest

This command doesn't really upgrade plesk to recent version, but install system components.

So for customer:
1. Get recent version of paralles installer
2a. For interactive upgrade simply run of autoinstaller, then select Plesk 10.2.0, and proceed to wizard
2b. If customer prefer non-interactive installation he should run autoinstaller --select-release-latest --upgrade-installed-components

[root@Silhosting ~]# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --select-release-latest --upgrade-installed-components

Did you try it? http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=443465&postcount=10

I opened a support ticket with plesk who have been in and sorted the problem many thanks for all your help.

IgorC, i ran that command, and it says that it is already at 10.2, based on the way the upgrade failed, im not quite sure.. is their any posibility that the upgrade fixed itself? or do i need to delete some sort of cache before running that? thanks again for your help

IgorG I've pm'd you the ticket number.

j0sh now that mines up and going again is it possible for you to list the files in /etc/sw-cp-server/applications.d

i think this might be part of the problem

I have the same situation. I tried to upgrade from 10.1.1 to 10.2.0.

How can i solve now this issue!?

Thanks!

UPDATE:
I found now the solution :)
cd /etc/sw-cp-server/applications.d
mv sso-cpserver.conf sso-cpserver.conf__
mv 00-sso-cpserver.conf sso-cpserver.conf

After than you must try it again to update (autoinstaller)

UPDATE2:

hmm, its not really a solution. The installer is now successful but i can't open the interface in the Browser. The URL is switching fast from https://ip-address:8443/relay to https://hostname:8443/login.php3?window_id=&requested_url=https://hostname:8443/relay and back again.

Any ideas? ;/

UPDATE3:

Okey, i disabled now SSO:
/usr/local/psa/bin/sso --disable

Same error here, try to update to 10.2.0 and now I can´t open the interface in the browser, etc....

Using the manual upgrade via /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller --install-system-only --select-release-latest

Now can enter in the interface in the browser.
