• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Server backup is valid, but restore fails

Al-AyhamS

New Pleskian
My HDD (Panel 10 on linux) was failing, so my host installed a new drive with Panel 11, and tried to restore the server.

The host restored a few domains, and the restore hung. for 3 days now I don't see any progress, and no new domains got restored. The host engaged a parallel technician who said the backup is valid, but still no luck in restoring the remaining domains, and now they keep me in the dark and I have no idea whether somebody is really helping me or no.

I have 7 other full backups on a remote repository, my host refused to use the latest of them, and they insist on using a backup they created before replacing the HDD.

The entire old HDD is mounted on /old, but they formatted its /boot partition, so no luck in rebooting on it.

I need suggestions from the community, what should I do and what are my support options.

Please send me PM with your Parallels ticket ID. I will check it.
