  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hello,

I'm having difficulty with my webmail on plesk. I just setup my first domain and everything seems to be pointing to where it should but my webmail says "Service Unavailable". I've tried everything I could find using google and this forum and haven't been able to find the solution.

-Tried adding IME_Admin and IME_User to IIS_WPG group
-Tried adding IME_Admin to Administrators group
(Restarting IIS each time for these)

I've tried running the webadmin and webmail configurations again.

I think I may have found the issue I'm showing that I don't have an HTTP controller or POP controller installed, but I'm able access mail fine through services such as mail2web.com

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

"Service Unavailable" message means that application pool for webmail website can not be run in some reason.

You can find exact error message in the event viewer.
Look for messages from "w3swc"

1. Make sure that IME_ADMIN has full access to folder %plesk_dir%\MailServers
2. Try to switch webmail to Horde and back to recreated Application pool.
3. Use filemon and monitor access to webmail folder- set permissions (if problems) to avoid access denied messages
