  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Several questions regarding migration.

Hello,

I am trying to migrate from server A to server B. Server A is running Plesk version 8.1.0. Server B is running Plesk version 8.1.1. Both plesk versions are running on a windows platform. If I were to use the migration manager, would I be able to change certain things such as the DNS, nameservers, etc. within the migration manager when I am transferring data from A to B?

The last time I made an attempt to migrate, I used the backup function to backup the data on server A and restore the data on server B. I got into a lot of trouble when it came to DNS and nameserver settings.

My main question being, would it be possible to experience the same type of problems when using the migration manager (wrong or missing DNS and nameserver settings per domain)?

Kind regards,
Aniblaze

PS: I am still reading up about this, but would it be possible to quickly remove everything from the new server, so I have a clean Plesk where I will migrate everything from the old server?
