  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Site Builder 4.5 Virtual Host Not Working

Hi All

I was hooping that maybee someone could help me here

I installed the sitebuilder 4.5 RPM package for centos 5 i386 and I did not get any install errors WOW!

But

When I logged into my plesk 9.1 cp. Under the Applications >> Site Builder option the URL was

sitebuilder.plesk.domain.org which would not propagate correctly.

So i found instructions and ran /usr/local/psa/bin/sitebuilder --set http://sitebuilder.domain.org/ServiceFacade/ -force

This changed it successfully.. as i checked in the Plesk Panel

BUT when i run an

sb_config --help | grep hostname

I get

--sb_hostname Sitebuilder virtual host name [sitebuilder.plesk.domain.org]

I cannot get the virtual hostname working or login or anything

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance
Rick Mataka

First, you need to make sure that host sitebuilder.plesk.domain.org is resolved correctly. For this you will need create appropriate DNS record in your Plesk (if Plesk is used as name server). As soon as host is resolvable you should be able to access Sitebuilder on it.
Also, do not create domain with sitebuilder.plesk.domain.org name in Plesk as in this case Plesk apache configuration will be used instead of Sitebuilder one. Only DNS record required here.
