TwitterMy suggestion to Plesk is that they configure the "disable" web site function so that it does NOT totally shut down DNS. It should send the domain to the default page and not disconnect email or the total DNS.
Parallels Billing "suspends" past due accounts by turning off the domain. When that is done when running internal DNS the site is simply not found. No 404, no redirect, just gone. It also sends an email notice to the customer which can't reach the customer because Parallels Billing just shut off the email service.
Then when the domain is turned back on, either by Plesk Billing or even manually, most often there is a problem with the email not working -- "Remote SMTP Server Returned: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)" -- which means calling tech support or running a command line /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/mchk. WHAT A PAIN!!!
This problem with email after restarting a domain has been an issue for several years and it absolutely needs to be addressed no later than the 9.2 release of PSA. This situation can no longer be tollerated, especially in view of the current Parallels pricing structure. Get it right or suffer the consequences in the market
