• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

smtp reports domain not registered

Hey:

I have a client using the Plesk server as her outbound smtp server. Occasionally when she e-mails another recipient in the same domain, she gets the following error returned:

MailEnable: Message Delivery Failure.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[SMTP:[email protected],]: The message could not be delivered because the domain name (healthalliancepo.com,) does not appear to be registered.

No one else using a different outbound smtp server not affiliated with the plesk server gets this error. The plesk server hosts their pop3 mail accounts.

I am not using plesk's dns server for resolution from the server itself - all domains and mx records are hosted with a third-party provider. Any help truly appreciated.

thank you.
