Question Spam score on NORMAL_HTTP_TO_IP and WEIRD_PORT.

HHawk

Regular Pleskian
Hi guys,

I have a question. We send our customer's so-called 'welcome emails' about their newly created Plesk account. These emails always get tagged with the following scores:

- NORMAL_HTTP_TO_IP
- WEIRD_PORT

I looked them up and found out they are caused by the (Plesk and FTP login) links we use to send to our customers.

For example the "NORMAL_HTTP_TO_IP" result is caused by the fact we also mention the IP-address which is related to the customer's account. So they can log into their account, until their domainname is resolving.

Example:
Code:
http://133.44.55.66

The "WEIRD_PORT" score is caused by the default Plesk port, for example:
Code:
http://133.44.55.66:8443

We cannot control customer's used emailaddresses, like Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, etc. Is there some kind of work around for this? Maybe someone has an idea or maybe even a solution for this.

The score on these is pretty low, but I am always looking to improve our account detail emails in any way.
If I am not mistaken it's a score of less than 2.0 with Spamassasin. But I don't know what it scores on other email services like Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail and similar.

I obviously did test the emails to accounts I created myself for those mail services, but they always end up in the spam / unwanted folder. And though most customers check these folders, not all of them do it.

So I am wondering if someone has a solution for this. I already thought of creating an image with the IP and port, but that's not really a workable solution.

Thank you for your input!

Regards
