  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

spamassasin worker processes limit

Hi,

why is there a limitation to 5 worker processes?

I would like to have more of them.

Does it make sense to limit this on a dedicated machine?

Cheers, Jorge

Spamassassin require a lot of resources for his operation. Each additional worker will consume more and more resources. Therefore 5 workers is optimal balance. But if you have very powerful hardware you can try to increase it.

Hi Igor,

well optimal balance is quite good. There is a limit on 5 inside Plesk.

I can configure it to higher values by just changing the database entry but an update/upgrade to plesk will limit it again to 5.

Cheers, Jorge
