PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Hey, we have SRV records on all our domains like _imaps or _smtps but we can't find any settings to change them globally. We need to adjust these records but can't afford to do it on every domain creation manually.
I think they should be in the DNS Zone Template, shouldn't they?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Create domain with mail service enabled
  2. Look into DNS Settings of the domain
  3. Look into the DNS Zone Template of the Server

ACTUAL RESULT

3 SRV records get applied on every domain created but can't be edited nor deleted in the DNS Zone Template.

EXPECTED RESULT

3 SRV records should be applied on every domain created, but you should be able to delete or edit them.

The customer is talking about the domain's SRV records which are records of the mail autodiscovery functionality.
These records allow customers to use the mail autodiscovery in their Mail Clients, and they are applied per domain if the mail autodiscovery is turned on globally/service plan/domain (it depends). Thus, do not present in DNS Template.

Managing these automatically added by the feature records is not the best way by the means of DNS Template in Plesk. If a customer does not want to use this feature, they could disable it.
