SSH failed after upgrade to 8.1.0

calderwood

Regular Pleskian
After upgrading to 8.1.0 from 8.0.1 and the SSH access has failed. Here is the error message:

login as: europac
[email protected]'s password:
Could not chdir to home directory /home/europac: Permission denied
-bash: /home/europac/.bash_profile: Permission denied
-bash-2.05b$

If I do a LS, I can get the folders and can navigate around, but have no privileges.

maybe the user-id or group-id has changed due to this update...

take a look at your
Code:
/etc/passwd

Can't access SU either

I can't get SU either - says admin password can't be accessed. When the upgrade was completed before I could login to the CP, there was a message that a security hole was fixed and that I needed to re-enter my password before proceeding. That is when everything changed.

did you edit your plesk's login-password?
be patient that a password can only be up to 14 chars!

No, used the same password. I don't have any problems logging into the Plesk CP - the admin pw is fine, it is the login PW to SSH and then SU that does not work. Not even sure where one changes the SSH login or password - anyone know?
