SSL error during Key update

comicmaus

New Pleskian
Hi,
whenever I try to update the Plesk key via webinterface I receive the following error:

Unable to connect to license server https://ka.parallels.com:5224/xmlrpc.
cURL error description: Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)(77)

Checking via command line shows that the SSL certificate of ka.parallels.com on port 5224 is expired in 2004 (!)
As it worked until today, has anybody an idea why the SSL cert check fails now?

Regards

Please add following line in /etc/hosts

77.245.23.80 ka.parallels.com

and in /etc/resolv.conf

nameserver 8.8.8.8

It should help.

Have you applied suggested changes and clicked 'Retrieve Keys' button?

Yes, I applied all changes and klicked the "Retrieve keys" button again - with the same result.
By the way, the DNS name ka.parallels.com resolves to 77.245.23.80.

It looks like that your installation has something special - custom openssl config or something else. Please confirm and tell me your Plesk and OS versions. Thanks.

Hm, I don't think that there is something special on the server. I also tried the update with a completely diabled firewall. I'm using Plesk 12.0.18 on CentOS 6.5.
On another server with Plesk 10.4.4 and SuSE Linux all is working fine.

OK, looks like the problem was the not completely actual Plesk. After installing the lastest Microupdate the error disappeared - even if I can't find anything about these changes in the changelog from Parallels ....

Thanks for the support!

For others:
As possible solution run

# /etc/init.d/sw-engine restart

Hi,

i have the same error after klicking "retrieve keys":
Unable to connect to license server https://ka.parallels.com:5224/xmlrpc.
cURL error description: Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)(77)

All the solutions above doesn´t solve the problem.
Where can i get the last microupdate and how to install it??

thx
Ralph
