• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi, I'm new here. I suspect I'll be spending quite some time here. Reguardless..

I have recently installed the Plesk 8.1 trial onto my Fedora 5 system. Install went fine, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

The guides/release notes aren't leading me anywhere, maybe because it's obvious to those with experience. So here I am.

How should I create a domain to just install a few scripts/web page and test things out. I don't currently own a domain, nor do I have a static IP.

Obvously I'm stuck, any suggestions, or perhaps someone's written a "quick overview" or "getting started" article on the basics.

Thanks!
