  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Subnet mask

MarkBKK

New Pleskian
I've never seen this explained well: When you add an IP address, there is a subnet mask, but no help about what that means, and no examples.

I have a Plesk PC doing just simple straight hosting of a dozen domains and 1and1.com and these [fictitious] IPs:

111.222.33.44 255.255.255.255 (came with the box)
111.222.88.1 255.? (nameserver 1)
111.222.88.2 (nameserver 2)
111.222.88.3 (shared IP between domains)
111.222.88.4 (exclusive IP for some domain)

What should the subnet mask be for the latter three?
