Hi there

I had email by the old provider now I am on my server and I get sooo much spam on that same email :-(( Seems the prošider had some spam protection. I didn't know there is so much spam out there...

What are my options? I enabled MAPS protection and put a lot of servers inside that I found in some topic on this forum, but it seems it doesn't help.

I would like to have Spam Assasin, but I rent server with Plesk licence and the basic licence doesn't enable spam assasin :-( I don't think this is fair as Spam aAssasin is free software, but that is another story. I guess the Plesk authors can do what they want with their software...

Is there a way to use Spam Assasin from the Wndows GUI, I know it will not work in Plesk but to put it between MailEnable and the user somehow?

Is there any other free option for spam eliminations using Plesk or without it? I can not pay big money as this is the server just for my site so... I don't make profit from it, can nto afford to pay 1000$ just to have Spam protection...

And I can not buy only Spam Assasin licence as it is on the SWSOFT Plus pack I guess only that costs too much for my need.

I am sorry to see SWSoft put Spam program to a plus packet as Spam elimination is like antivirus :-( Seems you must have it this days :-(

Why is MAPS protection not working anyway?

Jerry

MAPS works but it's not allmighty, as spammers grow every minute...

SWsoft doesn't charge SpamAssassin, but integration of SA into Plesk/mail server and it's worth ever penny.

There's no SA GUI and it seting it up manually is pain in the ***, not recommended if you don't have tons of spare time...

Just buy the add-on for Plesk from your provider.

Unfortunately my provider only has the whole Power Pack for 10 EURO a month, I can not get only Spam assasin :-(

If you're using Mail Enable, you may want to try this. I haven't done it, but I've been looking around as I have a different problem. I use spamassassin licensed via swsoft, but I use the Mail Enable Web mail. Spam doesn't seem to be checked by spamassassin unless I pop my mail from the server. If I open Web Mail, I'm inundated with it. But as soon as I pop my mail, the spam is eradicated.

Anyhow, MailEnable has a solution to implement spamassassin here.
