  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Tomcat Stopped Working and does not Restart

BIZZHOST

New Pleskian
We have Windows Server 2008 R2 with Plesk 12.5.30
Tomcat 7.0 is installed on the server and was running fine. However after a recent update Tomcat server stopped working.
We tried restarting it via Plesk Services - No response
tried starting it via Windows Services - Error 1053 - The services did not respond to start

We started "Tomcat7w" commons daemon service manager in the bin folder and changed 'startup' and 'shutdown' mode to 'java'. But no success.

Some help on this would be welcome.

Thanks

Thanks serverpoint.
It was actually this issue. Few days back I had updated the browser's Java for an IPMI connection, which caused the issue.
Solution:
Uninstalled Java 8 from Add/Remove Programs
Rebooted the server
Installed Java 7 via stand alone installer from oracle.com
Corrected the jvm.dll path
Restarted Tomcat via Plesk Manager
And it worked....Issue resolved.
