Troubles with whois lookup

Whenever I use the orderform to lookup a domain name I keep getting the "Whois Service Error" msg.

So far I'm only using the .se tld with the whois server: whois.iis.se and the whois response: Not found.

Am I going about this the wrong way?
Do you need more information?
Do you know a solution?

Problem is solved, closed port.
The actual lookup works but the orderform is unable to proceed

i too searched for whois look up for a domain. i searched for tool all round. then i found this site WhoisXY.com which provides whois information with a domain name.
