• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Cannot update from 9.3 to 9.5.2

File downloading PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Error: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.

Any ideas?

I've got the same problem to update to 9.5.2...

Exchanging information with licensing server.
File downloading PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Error: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Not all packages were installed.
Please, contact product technical support.

I am getting the same thing, unale to update to 9.5.2

Exchanging information with licensing server.
File downloading PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Error: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Not all packages were installed.
Please, contact product technical support.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is this just a way to get us to pay for yet another support ticket.

I think there is a problem with plesk_getkeyinfo.sh downloading.

plesk_getkeyinfo.sh (located in /root/psa/PSA_9.5.2 on my system) is empty (0 Bytes)

same here...

Updating from 9.3.0 to 9.5.2 on OpenSUSU 11.1 fails.

Here is the error:
"File downloading PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Error: Failed to check whether a new license key is available.
Not all packages were installed.
Please, contact product technical support."

Of course an active key with SUS is present, but it does not update!!!

Same here. Empty plesk_getkeyinfo.sh file leading to error.

Same here

I'm currently on 9.3.0, trying to upgrade to 9.5.2 and I'm getting the

File downloading PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: Failed to check whether a new license key is available

error.

On another server it upgraded correctly to 9.5.1 and from there to 9.5.2 with no problems (presumably from 9.5.1 to 9.5.2 doesn't require a key check) and looking in the download folders PSA_9.5.1/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh is 2329 bytes but in PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh is 0 bytes.

Googling a bit further reveals that this has happened on older versions of Plesk and was due to a missing file on the Plesk update servers - perhaps this may be of help to someone?

Just tried again and got this...

File downloading PSA_9.5.2/plesk_getkeyinfo.sh: 48%..100% was finished.
Ask KA server for key update: product=PleskLogin current key number=PLSK00XXXXXX00X0 to version=9.5.2

its getting closer?

I have been waiting for solution to this problem since long time now. It seems that problem affects updates from 9.3.0 ->9.5.1 as well as 9.3.0->9.5.2.
As stated by IgorG from Parallels in THIS thread. He suggests waiting for the next release of Plesk panel (9.5.3) HERE As far as I know Parallels has no solution to this problem and if they going to work out something then this will be included in 9.5.3 update. Anyone knows how much longer we’re going to wait?

We have tryed to upgrade the paralells from 9.3 to 9.5.2 without success.
Now, the Administrator Panel won't work anymore and we can't update nothing to solve the problem.

Now we have the follow error in these upgrade:

Continuing with the upgrade without having an appropriate product license key
will result in the installation of a default license key with limited
functionality. Administrators are advised to first acquire the appropriate
license key before continuing with the product upgrade.

Do you want to continue?
