  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Two plesk servers with same nameservers

New Pleskian
Hello,

My current setup is this:

- One plesk server
- Two slave DNS servers (VPS, Bind) with slave DNS manager -> ns1.mycompany.com and ns2.mycompany.com.

Now I have a need for a second Plesk server and I would have asked that can I configure those two previous name servers to work at the same time on the new plesk server as on the first plesk server? Or do I need to make new nameservers for this?

While you can, if you're giving customers access to manage DNS, I wouldn't recommend it.

If you do want to do this, you can use something like BIND/PDNS Clustering, which plesk has a DNS Slave extension for. Just add the NS to the second server
