Ubuntu x86 8.04.3 install

I'm trying to install Plesk 9.2 for Linux/Unix to Ubuntu 8.04.

When I execute the installer I get 'No such file or direcotry'
Afterwards I tried to install the Debian 4.0 installer, which seemed to start just fine. Up to where it starts to run dpkg.
Then i get all kinds of errors.
The worst seems to be 'Trying to establish test connection...'
Which repeats and can't be ctrl+c'ed.
Also when I try to remove the software using apt-get remove psa.
It hangs at Trying to start service mysql... * Starting MySQL database server mysqld.
Afterwards I again get 'Trying to establish test connection...'

I read all the docs about install and used the installer from: http://www.parallels.com/download/plesk9/

What is wrong here that it won't work?
I did a new OS install and this is what I get.

Did I forget some very important step?

Thanks in advance.

When you start Plesk installation with autoinstaller all installation logs will be placed to /tmp.
Therefore please remove all from /tmp before installation and run autoinstaller again. After that try to find something useful in autoinstaller logs in /tmp and post it here for the further investigation. Also make sure that you have not firewalled Plesk repository servers.

Igor,

Thanks for the response.
It seems the problem was due to that the server was x86_64 and the autoinstaller was x86.
Appearantly this is the message you get when particular libraries are not found.

I hope that Plesk with correct version of autoinstaller has been correctly installed?
