• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Unable to install mysql-client-5.5

Huskynarr

Basic Pleskian
I want to install *mysql-client*.
Apt-get install mysql-client want install mysql-client-5.5.
But can't. Want i install mysql-client-5.5 explicit, then he want to remove the complete psa.

I want to use my Teamspeak with mysql, but he want the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and the mysql Client Libary.
How can i fix this complication?

Hi Huskynarr,

instead of using "apt-get", it might be helpfull to use "aptitude" instead, because this will give you multiple choices, by checking dependencies of each depending package. You can choose, whether you want to use the given choice or not and you can always quit the whole installation process, if none of the choices is what you are looking for.

Another method can be to use "dpkg" with the option "--ignore-depends".

In order to help you, with "apt-get", or "aptitude", or any other program, we really need the error messages, because we can't guess them. An additional description can help, but is mostly not necessary, if you include all needed informations ( operating system, Plesk version ( inlc. MU ), depending packages, etc. ).
