New Pleskian
Hi,
I have bought a SSL certificate, I have try to install on server with plesk 12.5.

I follow this steps:
  1. I have generated the .key and .csr files
  2. I have send the .csr to the certification authority
  3. The certification autority has sent me the Cert and the intermeditate Cert.
  4. In plesk I go mydomain -> SSL Certificates -> Add SSL certificate

On bottom of page in section "Upload the certificate as text"
  • in the section "Private key (*.key) *" I have pasted the content of .key file
  • in the section "Certificate (*.crt) *" I have pasted the Cert (send me by mail)
  • in the section "CA certificate (*-ca.crt) " I have pasted the Intermediate Cert (send me by mail)

When i click on "Upload Certificate" plesk show me this error:
"Error: Unable to set the private key: Probably, the private key format is invalid."

how can I solve this problem?

Thank you.

Alex

Make sure that your certificate has the correct entries:

-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
...
-----END CERTIFICATE-----

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
...
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

Thanks Igor,
I have checked the .key and the crt generated by RapidSSSL.
The beginning and end of the files are correct!

I have try to find the solution on the net, but all online guides are for older versions of plesk and don't require the .key file/text.

I'm the only one with this problem?

this is the copy-paste of the .key file:
-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
Proc-Type: 4,ENCRYPTED
DEK-Info: DES-EDE3-CBC,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
...
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

this is copy-paste of the crt generated by RapidSSL:
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
...
-----END CERTIFICATE-----
