• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • (Plesk for Windows):
MySQL Connector/ODBC 3.51, 5.1, and 5.3 are no longer shipped with Plesk because they have reached end of life. MariaDB Connector/ODBC 64-bit 3.2.4 is now used instead.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Plesk Obsidian Web Host Edition 18.0.57 Update #5

Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS
After updating to 18.0.51 I started getting warnings from my scheduled backup tasks.
Error:

Export error: The size of the volume backup_2401030515.tar 65587790010 does not match the expected one 68400586938. The remote backup may not be restored.
Unable to validate the remote backup. It may not be restored. Error: Unable to extract dump header

The size of backup is 61.1 GB

Before the update, copies were made without any issues, with the same size; the copies are made via FTP to a server.

Please check what your Plesk version really is. In your header it says 18.0.57 #5, in your text it's 18.0.51. If it is 18.0.51 I recommend to first update to 18.0.57 and check if the issue still exists.

The issue is typically caused by network connection errors. To resolve it, you can try to run as root
echo "ftpForbidReuseConnection = 1" >> /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/panel.ini
to forbid connection reuse.

Version 18.0.57 Update #5, last updated on Dec 20, 2023 07:39 AM

Sorry, my mistake, the version is 57, the error has been occurring since that day, it didn't happen before.

I'm going to try your solution.
