Issue Updating does not stop and causing high load

roadrash

Basic Pleskian
Onyx updates (running CentOS 6.8) has been running now for hours.
Simply for updating php-php-gettext and phpMyAdmin.
That seems not normal to me.
It is causing high load and running processes like cat (99% cpu time) and tr and fold

How can i safely stop this process? (so i can run yum manual)

thanks

Just find PID of most loaded process with top command and then kill it.
