  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

I am upgrading from 7.6, running under IIS, to 8.2 and it gets all the way to the end where it is starting the services and then fails and rolls back. The errors seem to be coming when the installation interacts with SmarterMail. I am running SmarterMail Enterprise Edition 3.3.2439 under IIS on Windows Server 2003 Web Edition.

The event viewer has the following 3 errors...

Invalid object name 'controlvisibility'.

Execute file name: C:\WINNT\system32\MsiExec.exe

at remove trash SmarterMail mailbox(removeTrashSMMailbox line 2365)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Please run Plesk upgrade using the following command:

msiexec /i <plesk.msi> /lv c:\pleskupgfile.txt

Where <plesk.msi> - Plesk installation file,
c:\pleskupgfile.txt - plesk upgade log file
and then show last 30-40 lines of the log on forum
