• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Use external mailserver for single Domain

YannikSMYLIE

New Pleskian
Hey everybody!
I am hosting serveral sites on my PLESK Server. Some of them do use the integrated mailserver, some don't. My configuration is some kind like this:
  1. Site A with disabled mail service (the MX record directs to IONOS)
  2. Site B with enabled mail service (the MX record directs to the Plesk Server)
I can send and receive mails from and to both sites, this works totally fine.
BUT: If I try so send an E-mail from [email protected] to [email protected] it does not work because my SMTP Server recognizes, that Site A is on the same server and tries to send the Mail to this mailbox. BUT I am not using the mailservice for Site A on the Plesk Server, so it is telling me that it did not found any inbox called [email protected] and refuses to send the mail.
Also it totally ignores my MX Records...

Any idea how I can fix this problem?

Thank you very much and stay healthy!
