• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.
  • Please be aware: with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.78 release, the support for the ngx_pagespeed.so module will be deprecated and removed from the sw-nginx package.

Using MySQL over TCP

New Pleskian
Hi,
I am trying to relocate the PSA database to another server. By default, Plesk is trying to connect over the mysqld.socket. Is it possible to change this to a TCP connection ?

Moreover, I want to run the Plesk panel in a chroot directory and use my primary MySQL enterprise server on the same host(for now). I made make a symlink of the mysql.socket within the croot enviroment but Plesk can't connect to it. Possible this rather a restriction of MySQL.

Thanks a lot,

a happy customer..

Not sure that you can use remote MySQL server for Plesk now.
But Multiserver solution for Plesk in development stage now. When it will be released you will be able to use different services - mail, DNS, SQL on different servers. It will allow to increase Plesk performance dramatically.
