• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Using windows backup on linux?

I have a plesk windows server running currently. I plan on migrating the server over to linux for added security. If I were to create a full backup on my windows server, would it properly restore onto a linux version of plesk?

Also, what distribution of linux would be most appropriate for the usage of a webserver?

I appreciate everyones help.

Yeah it can be done, with some hacking. The backups aren't a 1 to 1 compatible format, since you've got some settings that dont translate, like mssql. What I ended up doing was to make a pseudo importer using the command line tools.

My distribution of choice would be to use CentOS 5. How many domains do you have? Maybe I can tweak what I wrote to be something a little more usable.
