• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Trying to make use of the VPN module, however the vpn daemon refuses to start. Completely removed the package (and any associated files) and re-installed and still receiving the same error.

The following error lines are being generated in syslog each time I try to /etc/init.d/psa-vpn start

Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: OpenVPN 2.0.1 i686-pc-linux [CRYPTO] [LZO] [EPOLL] built on Jun 13 2006
Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: WARNING: file '/opt/psa/var/modules/vpn/vpn-key' is group or others accessible
Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: LZO compression initialized
Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: Note: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: Permission denied (errno=13)
Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: Note: Attempting fallback to kernel 2.2 TUN/TAP interface
Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically
Aug 23 18:17:16 admin openvpn[1452]: Exiting

Has anybody else seen this, and know how to fix it? Any advice or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
