• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Resolved Watchdog won't start, problems in spamass-milter

New Pleskian
I have just removed and then again installed the Watchdog and now it can not start:

Error: Unable to process /usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/monitrc_vz.tpl configuration file:

The contents of /usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/monitrc_vz.tpl are:

check process spamass-milter with pidfile "/var/run/spamass-milter/spamass-milter.pid"

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.30

I have tried to remove and install the Spam Assassin -- it didn't help.

How could I solve that?

The incorrect path is used.
Go to Extensions > My extensions > Watchdog > Disks > click on name of required Device

It seems that I could solve the problem by remove the only antivirus extension that I've had, then setting all the services, drives, everything in watchdog to not being watches and the starting the "empty" watchdog. After that I could add the services/devices that I want to watch. Seemingly without any problems.
