  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Web App Edition Domain Expire Notice

Matt_Auckland

New Pleskian
Hi,

I've got a few server instances running Plesk 12 Web App Edition hosting just single domains, yet today I received an expiry email from one of the servers, even though there are no service plans or options to set, or extend expiry dates. A feature you tend to find in the Web Pro Edition (I run one of those on another server).

Can this issue be fixed, and how can I prevent my clients domain from expiring, or more importantly re-active it if/when it does?

This shouldn't be an issue on a Web App Edition, as it's suppose to lack this functionality. I'm disappointed in Odin that I'm experiencing such a silly issue, that really should have been fixed in development.

Could you please show this email with full header here?

Sure. Note, domain names have be stared out to prevent spam.

Hi Matt,

did you migrate this domain to this server or was it initially setup with the Web App Edt?

Regards,
Kristian

did you migrate this domain to this server
Good point. Upgrade from old version also may be here as possible reason of this behaviour. 1 year subscription was there by default.
You can fix it with

# plesk bin subscription_settings -u domain.com -expiration '2033-12-31'

Oh right, gotcha. Kinda thought that would've be fixed during migration, as it was migrated from a Web Pro server to its own Web App server.
