  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Webserver / websites slow

dennygoosensen

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
CentOS 7
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.41
Hi,

I have a plesk webserver on linux:
Plesk Obsidian Web Pro Edition
Versie 18.0.41 Update #1

Since a couple of weeks I have a problem (I never had this before). After a couple of days the webserver is very slow, loading time is long. When turn ON the firewall and the Turn it OFF again fixes my problem.

At 09:14 the problem starts
At 09:15:32 I turn ON the firewall
A few seconds later I turn OFF the firewall
After this my problem disappeared

Does anyone now what causing this problem?

My log file: https://www.flinqproducts.nl/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Log-file.txt

I can suggest you try the following:
- install updates as the latest version of Plesk is 18.0.46
- when the server is slow, check process usage using 'top' command and check which process consumes CPU, then check logs regarding this process/service to find more details about it
- try to check how many rules do you have for the firewall: iptables -L
- if you have fail2ban enabled, you can try to check this service
