  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Weird Problems with HTTP & HTTPS

Hi,

I was hoping someone can lead me in the right direction here. I have a fresh install of Plesk 9.1
on a centos 5 box. I upgraded php to 5.2.9 with atomics yum repositories. I loaded sitebuilder
and had to run the command to recreate the vHosts entry becuase of a DNS issue. Everything
was working correctly untill yesterday. I has a power outage my UPS units kicked in but unfortunilty
I had to take down the server.

When i booted it back up everyhthing appeared to be working. The httpd damon was running the
9.1 panel was up. BUT when i clicked the server link.. the page timed out multiple times.
So i restarted PSA and then went back in. Still broken. Then i tried to atleast access a website
running on the box. Well that was timeing out as well. SO I used apachectl to restart httpd
no luck still timing out.

What i noticed is the wierd part. I tried accessing the website using https and it worked!
so when i tried http://domain.com it timed out BUT https://domain.com loaded it up!!
WTF? i was thinking. So i checked that the vHosts were being included and they were
also i checked that apache was litsening on port 80 and it is.

So i said screw it i tried everything so i did a reboot. Still no luck same problem.
I am hoping that someone can help me here??

Thanks a lot
Rick

Both worked for me - though they both ran EXTREMELY slow. Have you tried "top" to see what happens when you hit the pages?
