If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. Question Will Updating MySQL 5.1 to 5.7 in Plesk Onyx break things?

WisTex

New Pleskian
We are running Plesk Onyx Version 17.8.11 Update #30 on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2‬ and currently have MySQL 5.1 installed and wish to upgrade to MySQL 5.7 using the Add and Remove Product Components feature of Plesk.

Questions:
  1. Will upgrading break anything?
  2. Will the databases and tables from existing websites continue to work?
  3. Do we have to do anything special to make it work properly after the upgrade?

By default, everything should go smoothly and painlessly. But life is complex and anything is possible in it.
