  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Windows Server 2025 support

Still early Q2 ? Is it being actively developed but there are problems or is it not being touched yet ? This so i can make plans.

If its a month plans are different then if its gonna be June, or again postponed by the time Q2 ends

It's only a ETA and it can changed. Honestly as someone who works in tech you generally don't want to jump head first into a new OS version anyways at least a year after it's initial release to allow software makers to make sure everything runs fine on them (and especially for Windows OS for Microsoft to iron out bugs). Considering Server 2025 was released in Nov of 2024 I'd hold off on jumping to that new server and stick with 2022 since 2022 will be getting security updates until 2031. But that's just my personal opinion from working in the tech industry dealing with Windows Servers.

Yes i know ETA's can change. That's why i try to get more information.
As someone who also works in tech, i already have experience with Server 2025 in production environments and its already stable build on Windows 11. It used to be that way but not anymore. Server 2022 can be as instable as Server 2025 and vice versa.

I just want to know if its soon or not so i can make plans.. thats it. If they say its gonna be December its December.. I you say Q1 or beginning of Q2 do that.

The initiative is actively worked on and there are no complication (as far as I am aware). The target is still early Q2. I cannot provide more precise timeframe than that as things can change and I do not want to mislead anyone. As soon as there is additional affirmation it will be announced. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Just a quick question - once support for Windows Server 2025 becomes available, where would it be announced? Is it a separate thread?
I just want to make sure I monitor it when it releases.

Thank you in advance!
