  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Windows - Waiting for remote session manager

Basic Pleskian
Hello

We have a server with Plesk Onyx 17.5 on Windows 2012 R2. It runs Multiple Enterprise SSDs with around 950 subscriptions, 128G ram and 2 x 8 Core intel CPUs. The load on the server is typically low due to the high spec server.

When we RDP to it it times out after 60 seconds with this:

Its really annoying so we've decided to migrate away to a new server using Plesk migration tool.

The new server is 2 x 12 Core Intel, 256GB Ram and multiple high spec Samsung enterprise SSDs giving lightening performance.

The migration tool is only on around 500/960 account, now all the logins are being created. Now we cant access the new windows server 2016 thats not even in production yet with no sites on it:

We've got this same issue on other Plesk servers that have more than 400 accounts on, all high spec so its not like the server can't handle the load.

We don't however have this issue on our other windows hosting servers that use other control panels (we plan to move them all to plesk this year).

Does anyone know how to fix this? it must be some windows issue when a server has too many windows login accounts!

The 60 second timeout is annoying too, i think if somehow this could be extended past 60 seconds to ie 600 seconds eventually we would get RDP access.
