Issue WP HTTP Error: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds

Hello,

I am facing the following error on all my WordPress dashboards in the RSS widget:

RSS-Fehler: WP HTTP Error: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds

Curl is activated in my php settings. WordPress and plugin updates also work normally.

Do you know why this occurs?

Check time of connection to your RSS feed with

# time curl -sL https://your.domain.tld/feed | wc -l

Most probably there is an issue related to correct resolving your domain.

thanks for your help.

Just tried it twice for one of our domains:

real 0m1.316s
user 0m0.084s
sys 0m0.016s

real 0m0.146s
user 0m0.072s
sys 0m0.024s

Seems fast enough to me.

I have also attached a screenshot from the RSS widget.



Normally, WordPress news from other blogs should be linked instead of this error.

Could imagine it has something to do with security settings. But I know too little about it.

Edit:

I also reset all security measures of WordPress Toolkit and disabled all plugins. Error still appears.
