On Plesk for Linux mod_status is disabled on upgrades to improve Apache security. This is a one-time operation that occurs during an upgrade. You can manually enable mod_status later if needed.
We have a similar experience with the Plesk Windows "Power Pack". This is mostly filled with useless or limited features, but we have to buy it at $15/mo in order to get small, but important, features such as MS SQL support or Remote SmarterMail support. The price is completely...
Yes, we're drowning in these 'notifications' too. every four hours from every server. Warnings look to be related to WP installations that no longer exist.
Once the certificate has been issued the CSR doesn't really do anything, so the fact that it's missing is of no importance. If it's been moved and only the certificate, intermediate certificate and private key are present it'll work just fine.
Any plans from Plesk to fix this? Service monitor/automatic restart is a really important component of a reliable production server and, as we find the recommended PHP-FPM solution to be rather unreliable, it's extra important to have Watchdog taking care of all installed instances of PHP.
Sure, central mail is proposed, but there's no indication of when that might be or if it would include SmarterMail support or just Postfix. I've asked a few times here and to Plesk sales etc and it has been added for consideration, that's all. There has not been a feature improvement to Multi...
Plesk will create a domain administrator and all the individual accounts on the SmarterMail server. Deleting the domain in Plesk will remove it from the SM server. Plesk shows some basic mailbox usage stats and you can enable forwards & aliases, change passwords, change mailbox size in Plesk...
Multi Server does not currently support remote mail servers or remote DNS servers or Windows Server at all, so that's a non-starter I'm afraid. They are all proposed for the future, but development is really slow/stopped, so it might be a while. And a mixed Windows/Linux environment is not on...
Thanks UFHH01, that was helpful, I found some stray yum processes running. Killing those wasn't all of it, still left a bit of a mess of incomplete updates, but I was able to sort that out and we're back to normal now.
Was just just running through the Plesk training course for Multi Server and was amused to see this on page 4:
"These difficulties create a need for a centralized management tool that allows web hosting providers to work with their entire Plesk infrastructure from a single control panel"
YES...
Given that CentOS and CloudLinux are pretty similar, is it expected that the management node needs to be CloudLinux also? Or is it OK if that's CentOS while the service nodes are all cloudLinux?
I really can't understand why they don't plan to support a mixed infrastructure, seems like a crazy design decision that vastly reduces the utility of Multi Server for a small host (and thus vastly reduces sales of the extension).
If, as it appears, the management node is just issuing commands...
We certainly are. Our clients HATE Horde. I'm sure it's very capable but taking Windows clients that have used a solid web application like SmarterMail for ten years and telling them they have to use Horde now simply won't fly, even our clients who have always used Horde don't like it.
We...
