Resolved 17.0.17 "Websites&Domains" page is empty

southy

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

I have a 17.0.17 installation here. It was working fine some months ago. I did not touch it since half a year or so, but automatic updates did run.

Now both pages:
- Hosting Services -> Domains -> [Domain name]
- Hosting Services -> Subscriptions -> [Subscription name] -> "Websites&Domains" tab
(which is the same content)

...simply show an empty page.
No error, simply nothing at all.
The other tabs (Mail, Applications etc.) all work fine, just the "Website" one does not.

What's going on?

I tried bootstrapper and "plesk repair all", but no changes.
Update to 17.x5.3 is available but I hesitate to not do more damage.

I know for a fact that all of this was working some months ago... apparently some plesk update broke itself.
There was an update on Aug 8, but also an earlier update since ~march or so may have caused this to break.

Is there a way to repair or diagnose this?

Anyone having any idea?

Thanks in advance and BR
southy

----------------
The problem gets bigger: There are about 5 sites on this machine. And they have all been created with the "Presence builder" over the last 2 years.
When I migrate them over to a freshly setup testing machine, all of them work. But only one of them can be opened with the presence builder. The others do have the button "Edit Website" with the presence builder, but when I use it it only allows me to create a NEW site, not modify the existing one.
Also "import from 4.5" fails because the source is not 4.5 (I believe it should be newer (=5?)?)

So why can I not edit 4 of 5 sites?

Hi southy,

Update to 17.x5.3 is available but I hesitate to not do more damage
Pls. ALWAYS update/upgrade to the latest stable Plesk release, because it includes bugfixes and changes, which might not be available for your previous version.

In addition, pls. consider as well to use the command:
Code:
plesk repair installation -y -v
... as this repair - option "diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with Plesk itself".

Hi from Hamburg to Hamburg :),

Ok, updated to 17.5.3 No change.

I did a
plesk repair all
...earlier,

now another
plesk repair installation -y -v

It did come up with some qmail- problem it can not resolve, but I don't care as there is no email on this system in use.

In respect to the problem: no change.
No content on the "Website" page.

Hi southy,

pls. check your Plesk custom view settings at:

=> Home > Tools & Settings > Custom View Settings

... and pls. make sure, that you didn't limit your settings.

Afterwards, pls. make sure, that the corresponding "Service Plan Settings" for your depending subscriptions don't limit your view as well and that the subscriptions is not locked and sync the depending subscriptions with the service plan.
Pls. make as well sure, that your depending domains are not suspended and try to re-activate them, if this is the case.

If the suggestions didn't already solve your issue, pls. post the output of the command ( logged in as user "root" over SSH ):
Code:
plesk bin subscription --info YOUR-DOMAIN.COM

Dear UFHH,

Hi southy,
pls. check your Plesk custom view settings at:

I checked those.
Note that the problem occurs also with admin / root - login.

Again: as this has been working some months ago when I last logged in, this is probably a bug that has been introduced by a Plesk update.
Also again: how can it be that a site migrated over to a different machine is not recognized by the presence builder anymore?
This thing seems seriously flawed!

Here I have two subscriptions, one is locked for syncing, one is perfectly fine.
Note that I can NOT sync it, because that button would be on the page which I am missing!

plesk bin subscription --info YOUR-DOMAIN.COM

Hi southy,

Note that I can NOT sync it, because that button would be on the page which I am missing!
A lot of Plesk commands are as well available over your command line:

Code:
plesk bin subscription --unlock-subscription YOUR-DOMAIN.COM

plesk bin subscription --sync-subscription YOUR-DOMAIN.COM

Could it be that somehow the relationship between domain name and subscription is broken?

But strange thing is that the tables listing all domains, clients and subscriptions (Hosting Services -> Clients, Hosting Services -> Domains , Hosting Services -> Subscriptions) all work perfectly.
It's just when you enter one specific website when things stop working. And that should (?) use the same relationship data as used on the working pages...

- Happens to both client-owned and admin-owned domains
- Happens to domains previously existing as well as freshly created just for this test

Perhaps I should try a

yum update

It appears there's quite some packages that have not been updated yet (non-plesk).

Hi southy,
A lot of Plesk commands are as well available over your command line:

Thanks. works.

But doesn't help.

Still: menu is working, even the sidebar ist working (create a DB etc).
But the page does only contain the (probably fix-coded) header, all dynamic content is missing)

Strange, that you didn't mentioned this earlier... but o.k.. Yes pls.! It is ALWAYS recommended to update your operating system and it's packages. ;)

Pls. don't forget to inspect the depending "panel.log" for further investigations:

Sometimes, it is as well a good idea to change the log - level ( TEMPORARILY! ), to get more informations in Plesk - log - files:

Hi,
Ich wusste es: Hamburger sind die besten! :)
yum update, reboot, start plesk manual because it wouldn't come up completely by itself and... pages are being populated again.
Danke! Wenn wir uns auf dem Kiez treffen, geb' ich Dir einen aus! :)

This however leaves the other problem unresolved: for some sitebuilder sites since the move up to Onxy when I want to edit the site in sitebuilder, it only offers to create a new site.
Even though I updated from 12.5 to Onxy, it seems (some of) the pages created within the 12.5 sitebuilder seem to be incompatible with Onxy sitebuilder.
But I shall put that into another topic.

THANKS!
