  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello, Jeff

Released PMM pmm81_build070117.15.msi works only with Plesk for Windows 8.1.0.
PMM for Plesk for Windows version 8.1.1 is now in final testing stage and will be available soon. Please wait some time.

Thanks.

Any update on when the new PMM would be available? We need to migrate domains from 7.5.6 to 8.1.1 soon.

Regards,

Hello.
PMM for Plesk for Windows version 8.1.1 is still in final testing stage. It will be available in a week or so.
But you could use Plesk Backup/Restore utilities to migrate your domains from Plesk 7.5.6 to Plesk 8.1.1 now. Just backup domains from older server then restore them on the new one. Restore utility is backward-compatible.
Thanks.

I have tried that doesn't let me restore then again i'm going from linux to windows. Which with the older version it would let me migrate just fine but doesn't work at all now because of the mirgation issues. Unless i'm doing something wrong please tell me the new working migration will be out like now or if i need to backup or restore a certain way i need a way to move from plesk linux 8.1.1 to plesk windows 8.1.1 any help would be great thank you.

Hi,

Have news about migration utility to 8.1.1 plesk version?

Thanks

The new version has been released by SWSoft.

pmm811_build070504.17

However, I have installed it but it's not showing up in the Control Panel at all?

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

EDIT!-

After clicking on "Services" the following error occurs - same as original issue?

Notice: Undefined index: migrator in D:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\class.ServiceControl.php on line 222

Notice: Undefined index: foreignmigrator in D:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\class.ServiceControl.php on line 229

Notice: Undefined index: foreignmigrator in D:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\plib\class.ServiceControl.php on line 230

EDIT!-

Found fix in thread below this one..

* Click on component management and hit refresh.

Does not show up in Plesk

I Installed pmm81_build070504.17.msi on my Plesk 8.1.0 server and when i go into the server tab i don't see the migration utility.

Hi, try this:

to me, on plesk 8.1.1 work:

Please, try to navigate in Plesk CP: 'Server' > 'Components Management' and then click 'Refresh' to update the component list.

Now i get the following error

Error: Unable to upload scout: Unable to run migrmng: Unable to connect to remote host 216.69.167.89. Please check if the remote server is available for connection and if the correct login and password are specified.

I am using the IP address of my old Server and the admin name and password.

Double-check Firewall settings

I was having the exact same problem described in the above posts "Error: Unable to upload scout: Unable to run migrmng.....", until I carefully re-checked the settings of the firewall at both ends.

After enabling File & Printer Sharing I generally I only needed to add SAMBA port 135 TCP, because if File & Printer Sharing is Allowed as an exception in the firewall, then it already shows ports 139/TCP, 445/TCP, 137/UDP and 138/UDP. You can tell because trying to add these ports manually gives an error that they are already in use by File & Printer Sharing.

Obviously also add an exception for PMM on 6489/TCP, and it won't hurt to add a Program Exception at each end and browse to the PM Agent program on the source server, and the PMM program on the Plesk server.

What I was doing wrong though was not checking the SCOPE of the exception. On the Source server the firewall must allow access in from the Plesk server, e.g. in Exceptions, select File & Printer Sharing, then click Edit (all the ports should be ticked, 139/TCP, 445/TCP, 137/UDP, 138/UDP), then click Change Scope to allow Custom List, and then enter the IP Address of the Plesk Server.

Beforehand it was restricting access only to machines on the Local Subnet.

I knew it was a firewall problem because I temporarily turned off Windows firewall on both servers and discovered that the PMM connection got through ok, so then turned them back on and carefully re-checked everything.

Hope that helps someone!!

Jim
