  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk 8.2.0.
Clean CentOS 5 Installation

Since the upgrade:

1) Spamd is running, but plesk shows it as not running and spam filters are not being applied. I have tried restarting the server.

2) Bind will not start

# service named start
Starting named:
Error in named configuration:
zone 0.0.127.IN-ADDR.ARPA/IN: loading master file localhost.rev: file not found
_default/0.0.127.IN-ADDR.ARPA/IN: file not found

Any ideas?

For some reason, adding:

ROOTDIR="/var/named/run-root"

to /etc/sysconfig/named allows bind to start. Found this by trial and error.

Just the spamassassin prob now.

I now think this spamassassin problem has to do with selinux.

I am getting selinux reports each time spamassassin attempts to do something with qmail.

Same

I get the same selinux errors from spamd.

Can anyone help?

Hi!

I got the same error. After upgrading vom 8.1.1 to 8.2.0, plesk didn't recognize spamd running.

Any ideas now?
