• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi all,

how can i add a "disclaimer" message to outgoing emails on my Plesk 7.5.4 server ?

Is there a way to do it by domain / or by user mailbox ?

thanks

Florent

You can edit the /etc/psa-horde/imp/trailer.txt file to add a footer to all messages sent by webmail.

Sorry, we nearly never use webmail, only email clients like outlook 2003...

is there a way to do it too ?

thanks

florent

you should look into qmail help to figure how to do this... if you are running qmail on your system obviously...

i am sure it could be done by adding something in the mailname's .qmail file

i used .qmail file to be able to pipe emails to perl and php scripts... so you should fine a way to do something similar to add a disclaimer ;)

It seems even this qmail patch only works if ALL emails use plain text, it could break others (html)

http://www.ornl.gov/lists/mailing-lists/qmail/2002/09/msg00440.html

you would like to make sure you want the disclaimer to append to ALL messages sent from your psa server... not only for 1 domain or 1 address

Yep, and only plain text messages. Why don't you have your clients just add the footer to their signature in Outlook?
