Resolved Assigning user to one subdomain

semir_te

New Pleskian
Hey all,

I honestly dont even know if I have chosen the right thread since I dont have access to Plesk version or os, I am just a sysuser of the domain.

Heres the deal, I have created a subdomain and I need to restrict a new user to manage only that subdomain. However, there is only one subscription and I dont have access to adding another since adding new subscription is the most often found solution online.

Id appreciate any help, guidance, anything.

Thanks

You can try to play with user's roles, but I think that there are no any restrictions for particular subdomain in scope of whole subscription.

No matter which roles I give to the new user, he can still see all the domains and subdomains belonging to the same subscription. Is there any way to grant access to only one subdomain or add another system user somehow. Or that option is only available when dividing it to another subscription. Thanks

Yes, it's correct.

Thanks, one more thing. Who can create a subscription if I dont see the option for creating it? Or two things, if a potential database on a subdomain needs data from a database on a main domain but different subscription will it work?

Who can create a subscription
Plesk admin or reseller.
Or two things, if a potential database on a subdomain needs data from a database on a main domain but different subscription will it work?
Actually, if you specify database name and login credentials of this database from another subscription in config files of subdomain's site, it should work.
