Backup error

When i try to recover the plesk server backup via ftp using the plesk backup utility, i receive an curl error.

So to get around the problem i would like to do this manually via shell, but i dont know how to transfer it from the FTP server to the webserver, and not only that where do i place it so that plesk sees it within its backup system?

You help would be greatly appreciated.
