• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Backup problem with www-data user

ChristianBorn

New Pleskian
Hi guys,

I installed an ownCloud instance on my server. The "data" folder needs to be owned by www-data and needs and access level of 770. All data that I transfer on the server via ownCloud is transfered via the webserver and therefore gets the user www-data as well.
If I am doing an backup in the plesk interface, none of the data will be backuped.
I did an small test and created a bunch of files and gave them different access rights via ssh. When doing the backup, only the file with group reading rights and is in the group "psacln" will be saved in the backup.

Any idea how to include the www-data files into the backup?

Best regards
Chris
