Backups stopped working

Raymond_Davelaar

Basic Pleskian
Suddenly backups stopped working. When I try to create a manual backup it gives me error: " pmm utility 'PMMCli' raised an exception. Error code is: -6 See pmmcli.log to find out detailed information on this" .
PS. Log file gives me no clue at all.

See attached error log:

Hello,
we have the same problem with our server.

The backup fails: pmm utility 'PMMCli' raised an exception. Error code is: -6

In addition to that in the session-path=/opt/psa/PMM/sessions/2016-04-18-030720.20 is a file: .getsize.stderr
with the content:

"*** Error in `/usr/bin/perl': double free or corruption (!prev): 0x0000000002f3a980 ***".

The backup started failing after the updates of plesk:

We don't know how to solve the problem.

Kind regards and thank you in advance.

*** Error in `/usr/bin/perl': double free or corruption (!prev): 0x00000000037e8ac0 ***

Also tried "plesk repair installation". Problem persists.

Bootstrapper repair finished.

If problems persist, please check installer logs ('/var/log/plesk/install/plesk_12.5.30_repair.log' and '/var/log/plesk/install/plesk_12.5.30_repair_problems.log') for errors.

If you can't resolve the issue on your own, please address Parallels support.

Same for me, I've tried

# plesk repair installation

but the backup still fails.

@Raymond_Davelaar have you checked your update logs? My backup stopped working after the auto update from plesk...

  • It was identified that your Plesk license was purchased from one of the Plesk Partners. We strongly recommend that you request support from that provider. Plesk Partners are fully trained by Plesk and deliver best-in-the-industry support for Plesk products running on their infrastructure. You can use the product documentation (docs.plesk.com) and Knowledgebase (kb.plesk.com) to find a solution or ask a question on the Plesk Forum (talk.plesk.com). Plesk Partners should use their support codes to contact Plesk technical support team.
So I think that it means I have no support. (server provider does not give support). I will ask for a new install

Men.. this is really awkward, tried to migrate to a new server and that is also NOT possible.

Failed to fetch configuration data from Plesk servers
Cause: Error running command: Command execution failed on the source server 'source' (XX.XXX.XXX.XX) with non-zero exit code.
command: cd /tmp/panel_migrator/pmm_agent; perl PleskX.pl --configuration-only --admin-info --server -v 5 --dump-domains=domain.nl --skip-extra-server-settings > dump.log 2>&1
exit code: 139
stdout:
stderr: bash: regel 1: 20210 Segmentatiefout (geheugendump gemaakt) perl PleskX.pl --configuration-only --admin-info --server -v 5 --dump-domains=domain.nl --skip-extra-server-settings > dump.log 2>&1

That is a critical error, migration was stopped.

On creating DB export from admin:

  • mysqldump: [ERROR] unknown option '--database'
  • Traceback (most recent call last):
  • File "/opt/psa/admin/sbin/dbbackup", line 6, in <module>
  • dbbackup.main()
  • File "/opt/psa/lib/modules/python/dbbackup/dbbackup.py", line 98, in main
  • backup(options, password)
  • File "/opt/psa/lib/modules/python/dbbackup/dbbackup.py", line 69, in backup
  • raise Exception("program 'mysqldump' finished with non-zero exit code: %d", p1.returncode)
  • Exception: ("program 'mysqldump' finished with non-zero exit code: %d", 2)
I'm almost thinking that is has something to do with mysql 5.7

It has nothing to do with mysql. I've looked at all files mentioned in the stack trace... there where no trace of a mysql error. Therefore it is irrelevant. What bothers me the most is that I didn't find the point where it throws the "-6". None of the scripts defines "-6" as an error. So...it is a really useful error :-/ Can someone help me ?
