Big problem with user creation

Hi

I'm using version 10.2.0. When I want to add new users I encountered the following error:

system user update is failed: Unable to create system user: usermng: Unable to add user : test

I've check the disk space is available space, but still the problem remains. Operating system: cent os

For this problem, our business is in danger please guide is to fix the problem.

First of all make sure that you have file /etc/login.defs

It is content of shadow-utils package:

# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.6 (Final)

# rpm -qf /etc/login.defs
shadow-utils-4.0.17-18.el5

I run the following commands is as follows:

[root@myserver etc]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.4 (Final)
[root@myserver etc]# rpm -qf /etc/login.defs
shadow-utils-4.0.17-14.el5

What do I do now?

Are you sure that file /etc/login.defs is not exists there?
